Yves Jeanrenaud is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's Geneva office where he also heads the firm's real estate and construction group. His main areas of practice include property law, real estate investments and transactions (both domestically and internationally), hotel projects and transactions, sale and leaseback operations, commercial leases, ground leases, total and general work contracts, real estate financing and structuring, due diligence procedures, environmental law and energy law.

Yves has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating property contracts, such as acquisition contracts, as well as agreements in the art industry. He advises Swiss and foreign clients on various contractual matters. He also handles litigation and arbitration within these fields. Yves is a member of several professional associations, in particular a board member of the Royal Institutions of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Swizerland.

Yves' recent expertise in construction matters include: counsel to Hôtel Beaulac SA for negotiating and signing the architect agreement, interior design agreement, work contracts as well as the loan agreement for the construction of a landmark rooftop bar and lounge; counsel to an international real estate developer for the drafting, negotiation and signing of a design and supervision consultancy services agreement for a residential 60 floor tower development in Dubai; and counsel to a major Swiss total and general contractor in a court dispute with a sub-contractor concerning facade defects of a landmark office building.

Yves was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 1987 after graduating from the School of Law of the University of Zurich in 1983 and earning a Master of Laws from Northwestern University School of Law in 1985. Yves is a founding partner of Schellenberg Wittmer.
