Biography

XUE Yi (Josh) is a partner in Zhong Lun Law Firm and is a core partner of the firm’s antitrust and competition practice in China.

Mr. Xue has engaged in legal practice for more than two decades. His practice areas cover antitrust and competition, cybersecurity and data compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.

For antitrust and competition practice, Mr. Xue is singled out and reputed in the Chinese competition law for his professionalism, proficiency, solid expertise, “accurate grasp of the key points” and the ability to offer “tailored advice” in legal practice. He is one of the pioneer lawyers practicing competition law in China. He has actively participated in the discussion and promulgation of China's anti-monopoly law, its implementing rules and related guidance, maintaining a close working relationship with the China’s anti-monopoly law enforcement authorities.

Mr. Xue offers unrivalled and comprehensive expertise in dealing with matters of Chinese competition law and is capable of assisting clients in full-scale and wide spectrum of legal service covering merger control filings, antitrust administrative investigation, compliance and litigation regarding cartels, abuse of dominance, as well as assisting clients in coordinating competition law matters across different jurisdictions.

He specializes in providing tailored competition compliance service to clients, such as antitrust compliance and management system set-up, internal audits, distribution arrangement, transaction structure and business model layout, antitrust risk strategy of IP related practices, etc.
