Yanos is considered one of the world experts in franchising, having drafted the Greek Code of Ethics on Franchising and the Greek Legal Terminology on Franchising.
He served as a member of the European Franchise Federation legal committee, and the European Franchise Lawyers Group; and is the author of numerous articles and publications on franchising matters.
Yanos has extensive experience in franchising, setting up franchise systems in Greece and Cyprus. He has been involved in franchise matters concerning brands including Baskin Robbins, Dunkin Donuts, BHS, the Body Shop, Berlitz, MaxMara Fashion Group, Miss Universe, Sandler Sales Institute, Nestle, Hertz, Sixt, Papa John΄s, Snap-on-Tools, Toni & Guy, Jani King, Athlete’s Foot, Gap, Remax, Hard Rock Café, Coffee Berry, Hans & Gretel, Marriott and others.
Yanos is also honorary president of the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce; visiting professor of the Center for International Legal Studies; and a distinguished fellow of the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils in Washington, DC. He is on the board of advisors of the Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law in Texas; member of the board of advisors of the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg; and member of the Athens Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Yanos served as a member of the board of the Hellenic Corporate Governance Committee, and he is life member of the Propeller Club of Piraeus.
