Vivek Vashi has been ranked as a leading litigator by several publications and is considered to be at the forefront of commercial litigation in India, and immensely accomplished in international and domestic arbitrations. Vivek has represented several multimillion-dollar companies in thwarting various insolvency petitions filed against them. He is regularly invited as a panellist to national and international seminars.
Vivek founded Vashi and Vashi in 2017, with a team of 17 lawyers. Under his leadership, the firm handles various complex and high-stakes disputes across India before all tribunals and courts, including the Supreme Court, and in domestic and international arbitration, including LCIA, SIAC and ICC arbitrations. The firm also represents clients before the various national company law tribunals of Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, as well as the national company law appellate tribunal at Delhi. Vivek’s practice also handles disputes relating to corporate (including insolvency), construction, telecoms, infrastructure, energy and family, as well as economic offences and white-collar crime. The firm is based in Mumbai, but Vivek has established strong relationships with firms and counsel across various jurisdictions in India, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Goa, Gurgaon and Kolkata.
