Vitor Lopes is recognised by sources as a go-to practitioner for complex banking and bankruptcy disputes.
Mr Lopes graduated in law from the Rio Janeiro State University Law School, where he also obtained a master’s degree in civil procedure. Always recognised as prominent talent, before the age of 30 he had graduated in family mediation from the University of Burgos in Spain; taught civil procedural law at Rio de Janeiro State University Law School; and contributed to books and articles on a wide range of legal issues.
He was also a member of the conflict mediation commission of OAB-RJ and participant of the mediation research group of Professor Dr Humberto Dalla Bernadina de Pinho at the Rio de Janeiro State University Law School.
Already a managing partner at Villemor Amaral Advogados, his legal practice in Brazil and abroad involves financial law, corporate law, debt restructuring, stressed assets, infrastructure, corporate reorganisation and health law, among other fields.
