Vicente has earned recognition as one of the stronger transactional practitioners in Costa Rica. Vicente continues to be active in M&A, cross-border finance and regulated industries. 

His legal experience includes counselling development finance institutions and foreign commerical banks lending into Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras, with a special focus on development and project finance. Vicente has cultivated a unique regional experience as regulatory counsel to competitive telecom carriers, value-added service and infrastructure developers. His M&A résumé includes assistance to US and European investors in the private sector, in industries as diverse as education, auto retail, packaged foods, energy, beverages, telecommunications and real estate development.

Vicente is a member of the Board of Directors for companies in the medical device and retail areas. He led AmCham Costa Rica’s legal affairs committee for two years; he now continues to mentor young attorneys in different areas of their professional development.

He holds an LLM in common law studies from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, completed under a Fulbright scholarship in 1999; and he obtained his Juris Doctor (equivalent law degree) from Costa Rica University Law School (1997). He was admitted to New York State Bar in 2000, and is a practising attorney and notary public in Costa Rica (1997).
