Thomas Meister heads the tax department of Walder Wyss Ltd, one of Switzerland's leading law firms.

He is also representing clients in tax audits, tax controversy and litigation at court.

Since 2004, Mr Meister has been an adjunct professor for tax law at the University of St Gallen. He is also lecturing on postgraduate tax programmes at the universities of Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich. Mr Meister is a founding member of the editorial board of Forum for Tax Law, a quarterly Swiss tax journal.

He studied at the universities of Lausanne, St Gallen (lic iur, 1989; Dr iur, 1995), and New York University (LLM, 1998) and graduated as a certified tax expert (1996). For his doctoral thesis he received the 1995 Blumenstein Award.
