Stefan Brocker is a partner in the dispute resolution group of Mannheimer Swartling. He is also head of the shipping, transportation and offshore group. Stefan was Mannheimer Swartling’s managing partner and member of the firm’s board from 2005 to 2011.
Stefan has acted as counsel or arbitrator in more than 75 international arbitration cases, with particular experience of construction, shipping and offshore, automotive and transportation-related disputes and other complex technical disputes.
Stefan has acted as counsel, arbitrator and mediator in international arbitrations and mediations under the ICC, SCC, LCIA, LMAA, SIAC, Norwegian Arbitration Act and UNCITRAL.
Stefan is a CEDR-accredited mediator; a member of the editorial board of the IBA’s Dispute Resolution International; a national representative of IBA’s mediation committee; and a board member of the European Maritime Lawyers Organisation. He also serves on the boards of many Swedish companies and organisations.
He is a member of the IBA task force presently reviewing the IBA Rules of the Taking of Evidence, and he has written several articles on the IBA Rules and on arbitration.
Stefan is fluent in English and Swedish, and he speaks French.
