Biography

Sabina Sacco is a partner at Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler in Geneva, Switzerland, specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has acted as counsel, arbitrator, secretary and assistant to the arbitral tribunal in over 30 international arbitration proceedings under various rules, including the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL and LCIA rules.

A Chilean, Italian and Salvadoran national, Sabina currently focuses on her practice as arbitrator in commercial and investment arbitrations, particularly in Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world. Her experience spans a variety of industries, including oil and gas, energy, mining, construction, utilities, food, retail and international sales.

Prior to joining Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler, Sabina practised for several years at leading law firms in the United States and Chile, where she specialised in international dispute resolution and corporate matters.

Sabina is an active member of arbitral institutions and associations. She is currently a member of the IBA’s Task Force for the Revision of the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence and of the ICC Commission’s Task Force on Maximizing the Probative Value of Witness Evidence.  She is also a member of the advisory committee of the Madrid Arbitration Court, and serves on the editorial board of the ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin. From 2012 to 2015, Sabina was a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, representing Chile.

Sabina holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and an LLM from Harvard Law School. She is admitted to the Chile and New York Bars. She speaks Spanish, English, Italian and French.
