Biography

Sabina Sacco is a partner at Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler in Geneva, Switzerland, specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration. She has acted as counsel, arbitrator, secretary and assistant to the arbitral tribunal in over 30 international arbitration proceedings under various rules, including the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, and LCIA rules.

A dual Chilean and Italian national, Sabina practices across a wide range of jurisdictions, with a focus on Latin America and the Spanish-speaking world. She has represented both states and investors in investment arbitrations, as well as private parties in commercial arbitrations. Her experience spans a variety of industries, including oil and gas, energy, mining, natural resources, construction, utilities, food, retail, and international sales.

Prior to joining Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler in 2009, Sabina practised for several years at leading law firms in the United States and Chile, where she specialised in international dispute resolution and corporate matters.

Sabina is an active member of arbitral institutions and associations. She is currently a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and of one of its task forces, as well as being on the editorial board of the ICC Dispute Resolution Bulletin. She is also a member of the advisory committee of the Madrid Arbitration Court, and of the steering group of the IBA Subcommittee on Arbitration Guidelines and Rules. From 2012 to 2015, Sabina was a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, representing Chile.

Sabina holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and an LLM from Harvard Law School. She is admitted to the Chile and New York Bars. She speaks Spanish, English, Italian and French.
