Biography

Roger joined the firm in 2006 and has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, real estate, labour law, mergers and acquisition, and tax and fiscal planning. He has actively participated in legal due diligences for the acquisition and financing of different types of companies. He provides counselling to local and international clients, he has advised on the acquisition of an important oil distribution company in Nicaragua.

In addition, he has participated in due diligence process of one major geothermal power project and two wind power generation projects in Nicaragua.

Roger has also worked in regulatory matters with the competent authorities and with all issues regarding transmission lines. He has issued legal opinions on fiscal matters and real estate relating to geothermal and wind generation projects in Nicaragua.

He has a master’s degree in labour law counselling from Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Spain, through a scholarship from Fundación Carolina; and a diploma in finance from the American University in Managua, Nicaragua. He obtained his law degree and a business administration degree from the American University, and he is authorised as a practising attorney and notary public by the Supreme Court of Justice of Nicaragua.
