Roberto Pernold Vieira De Mello is one of the founder partners of Montaury Pimenta, Machado & Vieira de Mello. He graduated from the University Candido Mendes in Rio de Janeiro and has been an attorney admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) Rio de Janeiro section since 1975, being also a registered industrial property agent.
Roberto has an extensive practice in patents, trademarks, contracts and litigation, advising his domestic and international clients on the entire spectrum of IP issues, ranging from licensing and contentious matters to registration and prosecution services, besides the coordination of IP issues in different jurisdictions worldwide.
Roberto has served as an officer and a committee member in several national and international associations, notably the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI), the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA). He has authored several legal articles and regularly lectures in conferences and seminars in Brazil and abroad.
