Roberta Gallardo is well thought of among peers for her first-rate work handling of multi-jurisdictional transactions and major project financings.
Roberta is co-managing partner of El Salvador’s office since August, 2018. She joined the firm in 1999 and was appointed partner in 2007. She currently leads the mergers and acquisitions practice in El Salvador. She also focuses on corporate, commercial, international contracts, banking and finance, and antitrust.
She has taken part in major local and regional M&As and has led multi-jurisdictional cases, demonstrating excellent leadership, knowledge, and coordination/managerial skills. She has advised local and international companies in the region, and provides day-to-day legal assistance to operating companies in El Salvador in corporate, mercantile and civil law, contracts, foreign investment, antitrust matters and financings for more than 15 years. Roberta has also worked on mergers and acquisitions, including regulatory filings when applicable, and complex project financings of significance in El Salvador and Central America.
She received her law degree from the José Matías Delgado University with merits and is authorised as a practising attorney and notary public by the Supreme Court of Justice of El Salvador. She attended the programme of negotiation for lawyers (PIL) at Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
