Richard E (Rory) Walck is a partner and co-founder of Global Financial Analytics LLC. He has 45 years of business and consulting experience, and has consulted on several hundred matters involving litigation, arbitration and regulatory issues, as well as workout, restructuring and liquidation of assets. His clients have ranged from multinational corporations and governments involved in investment treaty disputes to companies with contract or other commercial claims.
Mr Walck has experience in arbitration under various institutional rules, including ICSID, ICC, ICDR, UNCITRAL, AAA and ad hoc matters. He has provided expert witness testimony on financial and valuation issues more than seventy times in State and Federal Courts, in domestic and international arbitration hearings and at regulatory proceedings. His experience includes projects in oil and gas, electricity, chemicals, infrastructure industries, shipbuilding, financial services, manufacturing, and other fields.
He received dual undergraduate degrees in philosophy and business with high honours from the Honors College at Michigan State University, and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago. He studied in the PhD programme at the University of California at Irvine. He is a certified public accountant, a certified management accountant and a chartered global management accountant; and he is certified in financial forensics, certified in financial management and accredited in business valuation.
Mr Walck has spoken on damages issues at numerous seminars and has published articles on quantum issues in several professional journals. He was the founding editor-in-chief of The Journal of Damages in International Arbitration.
