Rebecca’s practice focuses on the protection, exploitation and enforcement of trademarks, industrial designs and copyright. For close to 18 years, she has been advising large and small clients in a broad range of industries including automotive, electronics, food and beverage, fashion and sportswear, on securing protection of IP assets and defending them before the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market, national trademark offices and courts as well as the General Court in Luxembourg.
She has extensive experience representing and defending well-known brands against counterfeiting, infringement, parallel imports and other acts of trademark misuse, helping them develop and deploy the strategies best adapted to their business objectives. These include, inter alia, liaising with customs and law enforcement, online policing, investigations and court litigation. Domain names disputes and Community design litigation are also key features of her practice.
In addition to her contentious practice, Rebecca is responsible for the management and prosecution of large trademark and design portfolios.

Rebecca is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Association of Trademark and Design Patent Practitioners (APRAM), and the European Community Trademark Association (ECTA). She is a regular speaker on subjects such as anti-counterfeiting, CTM jurisdiction issues, damages awards by French courts, evidence and other trademark and design-related issues.
Rebecca’s previous roles include partner at Bird & Bird, and head of brand management and enforcement in Paris (2012–2015); partner at IP boutique law firm Gilbey Delorey in Paris (2004–2012); associate at IP boutique law firm Gilbey de Haas in Paris (2000–2004); and associate at corporate law firm Moquet Borde et Associés (1998 – 2000). She has a certificate of aptitude to practise law (CAPA) (1998). From the University of Paris I, she holds a diploma (DEA) in private international law and the law of international commerce, with honours (1997–1998); and a diploma (DEUG) and licence in law, and a master’s in international business law, with honours (1992–1997). She also studied at Sciences Po (1993–1996). She speaks French and English.
