Veronika Korom is an assistant professor in law at ESSEC Business School in the public and private policy department and a senior associate in the international arbitration team of Bredin Prat in Paris.

Veronika has extensive experience as counsel, representing companies and states in large-scale, complex investment and commercial arbitration proceedings under the main arbitration rules (ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA and SCC), in a variety of economic sectors such as energy, gas and hydrocarbons, construction, telecommunications, civil aviation and mining. She has particular expertise in investment arbitrations involving member states of the European Union and questions of EU law. Veronika has also handled annulment and setting-aside proceedings, as well as enforcement proceedings in various domestic courts and proceedings before the courts of the European Union. She serves as secretary to arbitral tribunals and is referenced as an arbitrator on the list of the Court of Arbitration of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce.

Veronika teaches international business law, EU law and international arbitration at ESSEC Business School and is a regular speaker at international arbitration conferences.

Veronika previously worked at Shearman & Sterling in the international arbitration department in Paris.

Veronika is admitted as solicitor to the Supreme Court of England and Wales, as avocat to the Paris Bar and as registered foreign lawyer to the Budapest Bar. She is a graduate of the Aix-Marseille University III (doctorate in law, 2014, and bachelor in law, 2002), the University of Oxford (MJur, 2005), and the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest (dr jur, 2004). A dual French-Hungarian national, Veronika works in English, French, German and Hungarian.
