Dayo Adu is a partner and leads the immigration practice group at Famsville Solicitors. Over the course of his career in immigration, Dayo has advised international companies on their corporate immigration concerns (in-bound and out-bound), which include obtaining regulatory permits and approvals for companies; advising on appropriate visa and work/residence authorization; regulatory compliance advisory services; and managing immigration queries and audits.

His clients cut across varying industries including, but not limited to, security and hospitality, oil and gas, sports and entertainment, FMCGs and pharmaceuticals.

Dayo also attends various public hearings convened by the House/Senate Committee on Interior of the National Assembly (Legislature) to contribute on key issues and policy formulation relating to Immigration. He regularly makes contribution at stakeholder conferences convened by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). Dayo is a regular speaker at various international training sessions, seminars and workshops on corporate immigration. As a highly sought-after speaker, he regularly conducts in-house HR trainings for multinationals and recently delivered a lecture which was featured in two national newspapers.

Dayo, a seasoned writer, has contributed to international publications over the years and also contributed to an immigration and employment guide published by Hybrid Consults. Dayo was recently recognised and appreciated by the World Bank for his contribution to the World Bank Doing Business Guide. He is a regular contributor to Lexology.

Dayo Adu is a partner and leads the labour, employment, and industrial law practice group at Famsville Solicitors. Dayo has extensive experience advising various multinational and indigenous companies on their employment law and regulatory concerns, including trade union disputes, terminations and dismissals, collective agreement, and redundancy. Dayo has advised clients on employee compensation and benefits, HR policies, workplace privacy, employee agreement and code of conduct. He has represented clients before tribunals and superior courts of records.

Dayo’s vast knowledge and background in corporate immigration aids his multi-jurisdictional versatility, which has led him to advise international clients on international restructuring, managing expatriate programmes, outsourcing and cross-border employment matters. Dayo’s expertise in investigations and white-collar crime has led to his involvement in cross-border employment advisory matters, internal investigations, background checks on employees, and the development of workplace whistleblowing and sexual harassment policies.

Dayo is a seasoned speaker and has been involved in in-house training of clients’ HR and legal departments.
