Nicolas Mosimann is partner at Kellerhals Carrard. His practice focuses on technology and intellectual property law (in particular copyright, trademarks and design rights), M&A, venture capital, corporate law and commercial law. He advises both Swiss and international companies and institutions on transactions (outsourcing, acquisitions, joint ventures, financing rounds) and technology projects (including IoT and blockchain-based platforms), research and cooperation agreements, commercial contracts and data protection. In addition to this, Nicolas specialises in advising and representing software providers and customers (from development to protection and licensing, including SaaS and open-source software). He is as dedicated to his clients in a transactional capacity as he is in his role as a litigator.

As a long-time member of AIJA, Nicolas has an excellent international network, and advises clients throughout the world across a range of industries and sectors, such as IT, technology, life sciences, advertising, and arts and entertainment. As a member of the firm’s start-up desk he also regularly advises innovative start-up companies.

Nicolas Mosimann graduated from the University of Basel (lic iur, 2004; Dr iur, 2007) and holds an LLM from University of Sydney (2010). He regularly speaks at national and international conferences and is a lecturer at the University of Basel and Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz (FHNW).
