Who's Who Legal Competition: Future Leaders - Partners

Tony is a partner and regional leader of Fasken's national antitrust/competition and marketing group. As former counsel to Canada’s Commissioner of Competition (Department of Justice Canada), Tony is well positioned to represent and counsel clients in connection with a variety of domestic and multi-jurisdictional competition matters, including mergers, criminal cartel cases, class actions, advertising and marketing practices and abuse of dominance. In addition to advising on all aspects of Canadian competition law, Tony represents parties in criminal and civil investigations, litigated proceedings before Canada’s Competition Tribunal and class action litigation.

As counsel to the Commissioner of Competition from 2014 to 2016, Tony directly advised the Commissioner on many of the Competition Bureau’s high-profile cases. He represented the Commissioner in respect of complaints and investigations, enforcement matters, the review of mergers, major litigated proceedings and the negotiation of remedies and orders. Tony has represented parties in many of Canada's most significant competition and consumer matters. He has extensive trial and appellate experience and has appeared as counsel before Canada's Competition Tribunal, all levels of court in Ontario, all levels of Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Tony is a frequent speaker and commentator on competition issues. Tony is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he teaches competition law. Tony is active in the leadership of the Canadian Bar Association’s competition law section and the American Bar Association’s section of antitrust law. Tony is a non-governmental adviser to the International Competition Network. Tony is the sole author of the forthcoming legal treatise, Competition Enforcement and Litigation in Canada (Emond Publishing, 2018).

WWL says: Antonio Di Domenico is commended for his "excellent depth and breadth of knowledge on both regulatory matters and private enforcement".
