Who's Who Legal Competition

Richard is head of the firm’s competition litigation group and co-head of the global investigations group. He represents clients in complex, high-value proceedings and has managed significant regulatory and criminal investigations often with parallel UK and US aspects. Areas of particular expertise include corporate crime and sanctions work, banking litigation and investigations, and competition litigation.

Richard’s competition litigation practice covers all aspects of contentious antitrust matters including acting on a significant number of the follow-on damages actions in the UK. Richard is currently advising British Airways in the multi-jurisdictional air freight services cartel litigation, Philips on the CRT follow-on damages claims, MAN on the trucks claims and a major bank on various regulatory and governmental investigations into allegations of attempts to manipulate FX rates.

Richard is recognised as a leading individual by Chambers, The Legal 500 (Hall of Fame) and Who’s Who Legal.

WWL says: Richard Swallow is “heavily involved in contentious work” comment peers, an area in which he is recognised as a go-to name in the market.
