Rolando Laclé Zuñiga is a partner at Consortium Legal - Costa Rica and focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, international trade, real estate, civil and commercial litigation. He was nominated by Latin Lawyer magazine as one of the 40 best attorneys under the age of 40 in Central America (2006) and by Chambers Global as one of the leading lawyers in Costa Rica.

Mr Laclé Zuñiga attended Georgetown University, Washington, DC, where he received his Master of Law (Fulbright Scholar) in 1994.

He was member of the board of directors of Citibank, Costa Rica from 2010 until 2016 and  member of the board of directors of Comidas Centroamericanas SA (Pizza Hut – Costa Rica) since 2011.

Along his career, he has served as president of the International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (2009–2011); and adviser to former President of Costa Rica, Abel Pacheco from 2002 to 2004.

He has participated in local and international transactions related to securitisations, acquisitions of local companies and real estate transactions.  He has also acted as legal counsel in major litigation cases mainly in commercial matters.

Mr Laclé Zuñiga is member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and International Bar Association.

He speaks Spanish and English.
