Martha Lorena Icaza is a partner at Consortium Legal – Nicaragua and its executive director. She attended the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, where she received her degree as lawyer and notary public. She has postgraduate studies in human rights, administrative law, legislative techniques, international contracts, arbitration, intellectual property and finance for lawyers.

During her career, she served as attorney general of the Republic of Nicaragua; general secretary of the Ministry of Justice of Nicaragua; general director of Registries and Notaries Practice of the State; external legal counselor of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism; director of legislative counsel to the Presidency of the Republic affiliated to the Ministry of Justice. In 1990, she started her private law practice in corporate, mercantile, banking and financial projects in Consortium Legal.
