Who's Who Legal Mediation

Kirstin Dodge serves as special counsel for international arbitration and litigation at Homburger. Her practice focuses on representation of clients in international arbitrations, including with respect to intellectual property and investment treaty disputes as well as the energy, telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries. Ms Dodge has acted as counsel in international arbitration proceedings administered by many of the world's leading arbitration institutions, including the ICC, ICSID and Swiss Chambers.

Ms Dodge is also the mediation specialist within Homburger's litigation and arbitration team; has a certificate of advanced studies (CAS) in mediation from the University of St Gallen Law School; and is an accredited mediator with the Swiss Chamber for Commercial Mediation. Ms Dodge has served as a mediator in disputes involving patent licensing, and involving pharmaceutical manufacturing between US and European parties and between European parties of different nationalities and cultures. She also provides advice to clients regarding mediation clauses and preparation for mediation and assists clients during mediations.

Prior to relocating to Switzerland, Ms Dodge earned her legal degree (JD) at Harvard Law School then gained extensive experience as a commercial litigator in the US, where she was a partner at a leading Pacific Northwest firm. In that role, Ms Dodge represented clients before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative tribunals, and in mediations and arbitrations involving a wide variety of commercial disputes, including in particular energy and telecommunications matters.

Ms Dodge served as co-chair of the international arbitration committee of the American Bar Association's section of international law from 2015 to 2018. In 2017, her committee was awarded the ABA international law section's Outstanding Committee Award. Ms Dodge remains a senior adviser to the committee and is a member of the ABA section of international law's international mediation committee. Ms Dodge regularly speaks at international conferences and conducts trainings on topics related to arbitration and mediation.
