Who's Who Legal Mexico - Administrative Litigation

Daniel Amézquita’s area of expertise is administrative and constitutional litigation, and international trade and customs. He has successfully represented many transnational companies in constitutional challenges and determination of tax credits from federal and local authorities, among others. Daniel has been a legal consultant for major national and international import and export companies in Mexico on a range of projects.

Prior to joining Galicia Abogados in 2012, he was a partner at Chevez, Ruíz, Zamarripa y Cía, working in the international trade area, where he coordinated the social security and local taxes practice, in addition to creating the administrative and constitutional litigation practice.

Daniel studied Escuela Libre de Derecho, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from (1994); and a postgraduate degree in tax law, and obligations and contracts. He also has diplomas in North American law (Georgetown University), European Union law (University of Deusto), international trade arbitration (International Chamber of Commerce) and anti-corruption (International Chamber of Commerce), among others.

He has also taught at the Panamerican University, the Ibero-American University, Escuela Libre de Derecho and the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he gave classes in international law and taxes.

Daniel is a member of the National Association of Corporate Counsel (ANADE), the International Academy of Customs Law and the arbitration commission of the International Chamber of Commerce.

He has served as coordinator of both the administrative law commission at the Mexican Bar Association and the administrative law committee at ANADE.
