Jorge Cervantes specialises in M&A, private equity and project finance. He has extensive experience advising parties in a wide range of corporate transactions and telecom, energy, and infrastructure projects in Mexico, representing developers, private equity investors, financial institutions, banks, lenders and governments on different acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financings.

Mr Cervantes assists clients in all kinds of matters involving structuring of foreign investment projects in Mexican regulated telecommunication entities, mergers and acquisitions of telecommunication service providers, private equity and debt offerings in Mexico and abroad, regulatory issues and financing of telecommunication projects. His experience crosses a range of transactional and regulatory work and has included some very relevant transactions involving oil and gas, power plants, renewable energy, petrochemicals, LNG, pipelines, telecommunications, real estate, hotels and infrastructure projects in general. 

Mr Cervantes obtained his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and master of laws degree from the Georgetown University Law School in Washington, DC. Prior to joining González Calvillo, he worked as a foreign associate in a New York-based international law firm.
