Pelin Baysal has been with the firm since 2006 and has been a partner since 2013. She is chair of the firm’s insurance and reinsurance, and corporate and M&A practices, and co-chair of the firm’s dispute resolution practice.
Pelin has advised numerous reinsurers and insurers with respect to various types of insurance under Turkish law and advised on litigation, arbitration aspects, as well as coverage issues with respect to different types of policies, including, but not limited to, general third-party liability, professional third-party liability, credit insurance, fire all risks, mechanical breakdown, construction all risks, D&O and bankers blanked bond policies.
She regularly advises global insurance companies with regard to their entry in the Turkish market and assists insurance companies from the regulatory aspect, particularly on compliance matters. She advises national and international insurance and reinsurance companies regarding the localisation of the insurance and reinsurance policies in Turkey. She has vast experience in insurance litigation and arbitration.

She has been a member of the International Bar Association (secretary of IBA insurance committee 2012–2017), the International Insurance Law Association, the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and Transparency International Turkey.
