Pedro de Moura Albuquerque de Oliveira is a well-recognised figure in the Brazilian market with an impressive dispute resolution practice.
Pedro is a partner of LDCM - Leonardo de Campos Melo Advogados, a law firm established in 2018 by highly experienced and qualified lawyers specialised in strategic litigation, whose mission is to deliver their clients personalised first-class services with the best possible outcomes.
With solid experience in the areas of arbitration and highly complex civil and commercial litigation, prior to joining LDCM, Pedro was counsel in one of Brazil's litigation titans, as well as a partner in the dispute resolution team of one of Brazil's biggest full service law firms. He regularly appears before all instances of the Brazilian Judiciary and the Public Administration and participates in arbitration proceedings in numerous industries, both local and international. Pedro’s practice also comprises taking part in negotiation and mediation proceedings.
Pedro holds a master’s degree in philosophy of law and legal theory from the University of São Paulo Law School (USP), focusing his dissertation on the effects of the growing digital transformation over Brazilian tort law. He also holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University Law School (LLM), where his programme focused on US business law. He is a specialist in arbitration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas School of Law (GV Law) and holds an MBA degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas - FGV Management. He obtained his both bachelor’s degrees in law and in philosophy from USP.
He is registered before the Brazilian Bar Association and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
