He is the founding partner of M Nasser Advocacia Estratégica, a law firm established in São Paulo and devoted to dispute resolution.
Nasser has a solid litigation and arbitration background and international experience acquired while undertaking graduate work and professional secondments at well-respected English and American law firms. In handling sensitive cross-border disputes, Paulo Nasser possesses an international, multicultural and academic combination of skills that allows him to successfully work alongside clients and co-counsel from diverse cultural and legal backgrounds.
Paulo Nasser has served as lead counsel in a substantial number of disputes involving a wide range of subject matters, including construction, M&A deals, corporate governance, sports transactions, distribution agreements, commercial contracts and (re)insurance.
Nasser was educated at the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo, where he obtained his masters in private law and his PhD in procedural law and arbitration. He also holds an LLM degree from the London School of Economics (LSE).
Nasser is a professor on the postgraduate courses at PUC-SP, Puc-Rio, PUC-Campinas and Mackenzie, and has published two books: Onerosidade Excessiva no Contrato Civil (“Changed Circumstances in Commercial Contracts”) and Vinculações Arbitrais (“The Influence of Court Precedents in Arbitration”).
He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
