Nigel Seay is the head of Travers Smith LLP's competition practice and has been a partner at Travers Smith since 2007. Nigel advises on EU, UK and multi-jurisdictional merger control matters, including national security considerations in the context of UK merger control. Nigel also advises on the full range of behavioural EU and UK competition law matters from early stage compliance advice to full scale investigations by the regulators. Nigel regularly represents clients before the European Commission, the UK Competition and Markets Authority, and the various UK sectoral regulators.
Nigel also has significant experience in competition litigation before the English courts, in particular defending follow on claims based on European Commission decisions as well as related stand-alone claims. In addition, Nigel advises on the utilities regulation regimes in the UK.
