With 88 listings in this year’s edition, professional services firm KPMG is force to be reckoned with in the international marketplace. The “Big Four” firm boasts a truly global network, with 189,000 professionals spanning 155 countries, and regularly advises high-profile multinationals including numerous blue chip companies. It offers a range of consultancy services from audit and assurance to tax advice in order to provide multidisciplinary solutions to clients’ business needs. This year’s research highlights the firm’s leading experts across seven practice areas. 

KPMG achieves an outstanding 45 listings in our chapter focusing on due diligence accountants, making up 20 per cent of the total number of individuals included this year. Pre-eminent experts in the field include Brussels-based Yann Dekeyser and Mark Collins from the firm’s Dublin office. It also performs well in matters pertaining to quantum of damages, in which John Ellison, a leading figure in the London market, features prominently.

The firm’s forensic practice assists clients with all matters relating to the prevention and detection of corporate fraud and misconduct and provides strategic responses to these issues. In London, Alex Plavsic is a standout name when it comes to forensic accountancy work.
