Geoffrey Senogles Opens New Consultancy Practice in Switzerland

Experienced chartered accountant Geoffrey Senogles has left Charles River Associates to establish a new firm

Geneva-based Senogles & Co is looking to take advantage of a growing gap in the market, as law firms and third-party funders look for impartial advice on the financial aspects of claims. The new firm has, paradoxically, a near-100-year history, with the name being taken from the firm Senogles’ family ran in Wales between 1925 and 1985. Senogles & Co has opened with four specialist consultants, offering a range of expertise from quantum of damages to sports finance.

Senogles told WWL that the new practice will focus on greater collaboration between cost-conscious parties, for instance, by obtaining the necessary financial evidence to directly support legal submissions that tribunals can rely on. He highlighted his own experience as an executive, a non-executive director and an advisory board member, allowing him to understand companies’ needs and their desire to avoid protracted disputes. His experience as tribunal-appointed expert also informs his views on the needs of tribunals. Senogles commented, “The firm offers clients practitioners with large-scale consulting experience, but with a flexible, tailored and cost-effective approach. We are offering a cost-effective, experienced service that it seems clear parties want their legal advisers to have ‘on tap’.”

Geoffrey Senogles is a WWL Arbitration Thought Leader. He is listed in WWL: Arbitration – Expert Witnesses 2018, as well as the Economic Consulting – Quantum of Damages and Investigations – Forensic Accountants chapters of WWL: Consulting Experts 2017, and the Arbitration Expert Witnesses chapter of WWL: Switzerland 2018.  He has testified on around 40 occasions and for the past decade has lectured on financial damages at MIDS LLM Geneva. He has now been asked to expand his teaching into executive education at the Geneva Centre for International Dispute Settlement.
