Methodology

Who's Who Legal does not list law firms, only individual lawyers. The leading firms are those in each region whose listed practitioners received the most total nominations in our research. We highlight individuals at other firms who also scored very highly in our research.

Thought Leader Michael Hausfeld deservedly stands at the top of our USA listings this year thanks to his reputation as a pioneer of competition class action litigation. He has more than 40 years of experience in the area and continues to represent clients on some of the highest-profile cases in the US.

William Isaacson has secured hundreds of millions of dollars of damages for clients in antitrust cases during the course of his acclaimed career. He has appeared in a substantial proportion of federal class actions in the area in recent years.
Donald Flexner is also recommended for his vast experience in the area, having served as lead counsel on a plethora of antitrust mandates during the course of his career.

Bruce Simon at Pearson Simon & Warshaw LLP is a prominent name on the west coast and nationwide for his litigation experience, particularly in competition matters, for which he is named a Thought Leader for the first time.
