Economists & Anti-Dumping Consultants 2017: Analysis

For the second year, we also identify the leading trade economists and anti-dumping consultants recognised for their exceptional work advising clients and law firms with litigation support and analysis in trade policy, anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings. 

In this edition, we feature 33 individuals from over 20 firms across 10 jurisdictions. 

ECONOMIC CONSULTING SERVICES boasts the foremost team in our research this year with an impressive six individuals nominated for their work in the space.
Bruce Malashevich is “a very recognisable name in the trade bar” according to respondents, one of whom notes “his skills are highly sought after” by clients.
Kenneth Button wins praise for his excellent work in the field, particularly when it comes to matters relating to the International Trade Commission. He stands out among peers for “his great economic analysis and presentation”.
Jennifer Lutz draws praise from international sources for her first-rate practice which includes anti-dumping and countervailing duty cases.  
Maarten van de Geijn is a stand-out trade economist who is considered a specialist in the market when it comes to unfair trade proceedings in the US.
John Derrick and Mark Love are also recognised in this edition for their outstanding work in the field.

Richard Boyce is a widely recognised figure in the US market, and possesses over 30 years’ experience handling trade matters across a range of industries from agriculture to automotive.
Washington DC-based Deirdre Maloney is a long-standing name in the US trade space. She is well versed in handling anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings, as well as trade regulation matters.
Patrick Edwards is an impressive practitioner noted for his excellent work representing clients before the US International Trade Commission and Department of Commerce.
Angelica Townshend also stands out for her strong expertise in the area.

CAPITAL TRADE also sees four experts highlighted this year.
Charles Anderson is “a highly skilled practitioner” and draws widespread praise from sources who consider him “a master strategist”.
Daniel Klett focuses his first-class practice on international economics and trade regulation, an area in which he is regarded as a true specialist.

Paul Baker at INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS CONSULTING in Mauritius draws praise from international sources for his “excellent analytical skills” and “great ability to really understand the realities of trade”.

THOMPSON HINE’s William Matthews boasts 40 years’ experience handling a wide array of international trade matters, from anti-dumping to WTO issues.
