Mehmet Karakoc is a senior managing director at FTI Consulting and is based in London. Mr Karakoc is a member of the forensic and litigation consulting segment where he works in the construction solutions practice. With 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr Karakoc specialises in resolution of a wide range of complex disputes, forensic investigations, providing witness testimony, delay and disruption analyses, preparation of extension of time, disruption and cost claims, programming and project advisory matters. Mr Karakoc has provided written and oral testimony (including witness conferencing) in number of venues including international arbitration.
Through his years of experience as an engineer and as an expert consultant, Mr Karakoc has developed a detailed knowledge of construction, project management, scheduling and cost controls. In addition, he regularly delivers trainings and speaks at key industry events.
Mr Karakoc has been appointed as a delay and quantum expert on a number of large contentious and non‐contentious international matters including construction of a US$12 billion pipeline, the tallest building in Europe and one of the largest airports in the Middle East. He has also been involved with disputes related to the information technology and defence systems.

Mr Karakoc holds BSc degree in civil engineering an MSc in construction law and dispute resolution from King’s College. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in England and Wales, Society for Computers & Law, The Academy of Experts.
