Biography

Meghan Spillane is a partner in Goodwin’s securities, white-collar defence and business litigation group and its digital currency and blockchain technology practice. She focuses her practice on white-collar criminal defence, including conducting internal investigations on behalf of corporate entities and representing companies and individuals in connection with government investigations and prosecutions. Ms Spillane also advises digital currency and blockchain companies in token sales and in responding to government inquiries. Ms Spillane also maintains an active civil practice, representing companies in complex business and financial litigation matters. Her experience includes federal criminal and civil investigations, securities class actions and derivative suits, SEC actions, and complex commercial litigation. Ms Spillane was named as a 2018 Law360 “rising star in white-collar” and has been recognised consistently by Super Lawyers as a leading white-collar defence practitioner from 2015 to 2018.
