Martin K Weber (born 1982) is a partner at Roesle Frick & Partners based in Zurich with a dedicated team comprising of several attorneys and paralegals. He also co-founded REWIDI, a regulatory technology business digitizing legal & compliance processes.
His practice focuses on private equity & venture capital, corporate finance, financial services regulation and related investigations (regulatory and financial crime). He is an authorized issuers’ representative at the SIX Swiss Exchange and has experience as an independent board member. He is also a lecturer for legal & compliance at HWZ business school in Zurich (MAS for Banking & Finance) and a regular guest lecturer for investigations at the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance.
In particular, he represents clients in investigations by Swiss and foreign authorities, organises internal and regulatory investigations, and conducts compliance reviews, especially in the context of money laundering, abusive trading activities and corporate malpractice. In addition, he advises clients on compliance with respective regulatory standards.
Before joining Roesle Frick & Partners as a partner in 2015, he worked at the corporate law firm Homburger. He received an LL.M. degree from the University of California, Berkeley and graduated as a bilingual dual Master of Laws (French/German) from the Universities of Neuchâtel and Lucerne, where he also accomplished a doctorate in financial market regulation. He is admitted to the Bar of the Canton of Zurich (bar admission at all Swiss courts). In addition, he has been serving as a prosecutor and investigating judge of a Swiss military tribunal and was trained in forensics.
