Martin Aebi is a highly skilled arbitration counsel who advises clients across a wide range of sectors, with particular expertise in intellectual property disputes. He is also recommended for his first-rate handling of complex corporate finance disputes.
Dr Martin Aebi is an experienced dispute resolution practitioner who has acted as counsel in numerous large-scale cases (also involving states) before arbitral tribunals and state courts. Originally focused on intellectual property-related matters such as licensing and joint-development issues, his experience has broadened over time to cover a wide range of business areas, including construction, M&A as well as banking. In addition to his work as party representative, he sits as an arbitrator.
Martin Aebi holds a law degree from the University of St Gallen (1999; doctorate in law 2005) and obtained an LLM from Columbia Law School of Law (2005). He was admitted to the Zurich Bar in 2002. Martin Aebi joined Lenz & Staehelin in 2002 and was appointed counsel in 2011. He speaks German, English and French.
