Dr Marta Sendrowicz is a partner in Allen & Overy's Warsaw office, and heads the Central and Eastern European EU and competition practice. She advises on a wide range of behavioural matters and high-profile mergers, including Phase II cases.
Marta has an active practice representing clients before the Polish Competition Authority and the European Commission in relation to antitrust investigations and proceedings initiated by leniency applications. She assists clients in reviewing their business structures, and is a keen advocate of new business models reflecting clients’ needs and market challenges.
She has handled cases for multinational and regional clients, PE houses, financial institutions, advising leading players operating in various industries.
The Warsaw competition practice is frequently accorded “Elite” status in GCR. Marta is regularly listed as one of Poland’s leading competition/antitrust lawyers in the principal legal directories, including The Legal 500 (2020) and Chambers Europe (2020). Marta graduated from the law faculty at Warsaw University in 1994. She has an LLM in EU law from Maastricht University, and a PhD in competition law from Warsaw University (2001). Marta lectured for nearly 20 years (up to 2016) on EU law and EU competition law at Warsaw University.
