Mark Stacey is a partner and co-chair of Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP’s commercial business litigation practice group. He is a member of the firm’s management committee.
He offers timely, result oriented advice to clients, helping them to make critical decisions about litigation matters or key transactions relating to their businesses.
Mark’s practice is primarily directed towards advising clients about diverse commercial problems and transactions. He has acted for businesses in a wide range of industries, including transportation, construction and manufacturing, restaurant and food services, professional services and retail sales.
He has also acted as counsel in commercial litigation involving construction claims, professional negligence actions, shareholder disputes, leasing matters, intellectual property issues and probate and estate proceedings.
Mark was listed in the corporate and commercial litigation sectors by Best Lawyers® in Canada, was recognised by Benchmark Canada as a “litigation star” and has received a pre-eminent Martindale-Hubbell® rating.
His experience includes representing clients (construction, property management, transportation, restaurant and food services, and professional and design services) in a wide variety of diverse commercial disputes, including debt recovery, construction claims, shareholder and corporate governance disputes, equitable claims for unjust enrichment and breach of fiduciary duty, employment and workplace law matters, real property and leasing litigation, intellectual property claims and probate and estate litigation. As well as acting for business clients with a focus on corporate governance, purchase and sale transactions, business reorganisations, intellectual property issues, commercial and business litigation construction and infrastructure law, and corporate commercial wills and estates.
Mark received a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1982 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1983.
