Mark Berenblut is an expert in economics, finance, quantum, business valuation, accounting and financial investigation. He has provided expert reports and tribunal and trial testimony in Europe, the US, Canada and the Middle East for complex matters involving economic damage quantum, insolvency and restructuring, securities, financial investigation, white-collar crime, intellectual property, and securities and business valuation. He has also provided expert evidence in domestic and international arbitrations, and economic evidence before the European Court of Human Rights.
Mr Berenblut has been qualified as an expert in the areas of pharmaceutical patent infringement, shareholder disputes, loss of profits, post-acquisition, post M&A and other contract disputes for more than 100 matters, some involving claims of billions of dollars/pounds. He has particular expertise in intellectual property, telecommunications, financial institutions, real estate and infrastructure.
A graduate of the London School of Economics, Mr Berenblut is a fellow chartered business valuator and a fellow chartered accountant. His other professional certifications include: accredited senior appraiser, CPA, certified fraud examiner and AICPA-CFF. He is recognised by the Academy of Experts and has authored two books regarding damage investigation and quantification: Proving Economic Loss and The Litigator's Guide to Expert Witnesses. He served on the editorial board of The Journal of Business Valuation. Mr Berenblut was a managing partner of a US venture capital investment fund and a bio-science fund, and a member of the investment committees of several major charitable foundations.
