Marcelo Roberto Ferro is one of the founding partners of Ferro, Castro Neves, Daltro & Gomide (FCDG), a law firm established in 2005 by a group of renowned and highly experienced professionals who shared the aspiration of offering their clients superior law services. With offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo – and correspondents in other Brazilian cities – FCDG endeavours to provide an exclusive service, particularly in civil, commercial and administrative law, as well as in commercial and business matters, in both court litigation and arbitration.

Marcelo distinguished himself in the field of domestic and international arbitration, acting as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations in Brazil, Europe and the United States of America, under the rules of ICC, UNCITRAL, ad hoc and other Brazilian institutions. He also provides consultancy on enforcement of international courts' decisions and arbitration awards, and assists clients with the elaboration and negotiation of arbitral clauses.

Marcelo was educated at the University of São Paulo (1994), where he obtained his master’s degree; the University of Law, Economics and Social Sciences in Paris (1987), where he obtained his degree in civil law; and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1985).

Marcelo is a licensed member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo chapters, and is fluent in Portuguese, French and English. Marcelo is also a former member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and president of its Latin American and Caribbean users' council. Marcelo is a former vice chair of the ICC Comission on Arbitration and ADR, and chair of ICC Brazil´s arbitration and mediation committee.
