Louise Lutz Sciamanna is a counsel in the Private Client group of CMS von Erlach Poncet Ltd., Zurich, a leading law firm in Switzerland.
Louise is a certified specialist (SBA) in inheritance law and specialises in domestic and in cross-border estate and succession planning, and estate administration (executorship). She advises private clients on marital property agreements (prenuptial and postnuptial agreements), last wills, succession pacts, charitable foundations and trusts. She also represents clients in complex inheritance disputes and acts as counsel before Swiss courts. Louise further advises private clients and entrepreneurs on lasting powers of attorney and living wills for cases of legal incapacity under the Swiss adult protection laws as well as in international settings.
Louise graduated from the University of Zurich and was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 2008. Before joining CMS in 2015, she worked for several years as an associate in the private client group of a major business law firm in Zurich and as a senior inheritance consultant in a Swiss bank. Louise gained further professional experience as a law clerk at the District Court of Zurich. In 2012, Louise completed her postgraduate education with a LLM degree (with distinction; prize for best student) at King's College London with a focus on estate and tax planning as well as on international and comparative inheritance, trust and property law.
