Kensuke Suzuki is a partner at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. He represents both domestic and international clients, with a special focus on cross-border transactions, with respect to pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare business, M&A and corporate transactions, fund formation and management, and financial regulations. With expert knowledge of the Japanese pharmaceutical, medical device, food, medical and other various healthcare-related regulations, he advises international and domestic pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers, food and beverages companies, as well as medical institutions and other healthcare-related businesses. He assists with a wide variety of regulatory matters, including regulatory interpretation and compliance issues, communication and interaction with Japanese regulatory authorities, clinical trials, licences and permits, NHI price listings, advertisements, as well as recalls, crisis management and investigations.

He also provides a wide range of advice (including deal structuring, due diligence, and contract drafting/negotiations) in connection with various business activities involving pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare-related companies/institutions, such as mergers and acquisitions, alliances, business start-ups, financing, licensing and other commercial transactions.

He is a graduate of the University of Tokyo (LLB, 1999) and Stanford Law School (LLM, 2006).
