Joanne Prior is a chartered quantity Surveyor with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, who is regularly appointed as a quantum expert on large, complex, international construction and engineering projects. She has considerable testifying experience and has given evidence in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC), and in 14 arbitration hearings in the UK and internationally.
She has experience across a wide variety of construction and engineering projects in the UK, Europe, Africa, Australia, Far East and the Middle East and is an expert in the analysis of commercial issues on major building, highway, rail, mechanical and electrical, process and energy contracts. Joanne is also an expert in the professional standards expected of a quantity surveyor and is regularly appointed in professional negligence cases.
Joanne holds a BSc (Hons) degree in quantity surveying; a master's degree in business administration; and a postgraduate diploma in law and arbitration. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and sits as a RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) assessor.
