Jean-Marc Tirard is a lawyer of the Paris Bar. In 1989 he co-founded, with Maryse Naudin, the law firm Tirard Naudin, a highly reputed Paris-based boutique law firm which specialises in international tax and estate planning (including trusts), tax representation and litigation in all aspects of French taxation with a particular emphasis on international tax issues.
Mr Tirard has more than 45 years’ experience advising French and non-French companies as well as private clients on French and international corporate and individual tax issues, negotiating with tax authorities and handling tax litigation.
Jean-Marc has advised on numerous high-profile corporate transactions and has extensive experience in tax and estate planning for French and non-French high net worth individuals. Originally specialising in French and international corporate tax through his unique knowledge of trusts in France, in the past two decades his practice has developed into an international private client practice.
He has published many articles and books on these subjects, both in French and in English.
Mr Tirard is a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law (TIAETL) and a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). He is a former chairman of the tax commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) French committee, and former co-chairman of the ICC’s international tax committee.
He is rated as one of the leading tax and private client French lawyers in various surveys.
