Biography

Jayesh is the co-founder of Juris Corp, established in 2000. He focuses on banking, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and insolvency. Jayesh has extensive transactional and enforcement experience in M&A, leveraged buyouts, acquisition financing, sponsor financing, restructuring, etc. He is the pre-eminent practitioner in India for structured finance, bankruptcy and restructuring.

Jayesh has contributed to the growth of the financial services. He has been a member of key committees and has directly worked on drafting and amending legislation and regulatory framework relating to financial services.

Besides qualifying in law, Jayesh is also a chartered financial analyst and a diploma holder in business finance. He is also registered as advocate-on-record at the Supreme Court of India.

As a Chevening scholar, Jayesh gained experience in English and European community laws and regulations. He underwent training at the College of Law in York and worked briefly with a London-based firm of solicitors in their corporate finance department. Early on in life, Jayesh was a part-time qualitative market researcher. 

According to clients, Jayesh is known to “think ahead of the client”, “act in the best interests of clients” and “work on bringing down avoidable legal costs through innovation and forward-thinking”.
