Ira A Eddymurthy is a founding partner of SSEK Legal Consultants. Her practice focuses on banking and finance, capital markets, M&A, insurance and tax law. Ms Eddymurthy is advising a bidder on the contemplated acquisition of one of the largest banks in Indonesia by assets, and she recently assisted a client with the refinancing of a toll road development project. Ms Eddymurthy led the SSEK team that advised Malaysian investment holding company RII Holdings Sdn Bhd on its acquisition of a substantial equity interest in leading Indonesian logistics company PT Pandu Siwi Sentosa, as has been reported.
Ms Eddymurthy is advising a foreign bank on its offshore loan portfolio in Indonesia, acted for the Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility in its role as guarantor in the issuance of two tranches of medium-term notes, and advised Standard Chartered on a US$90 million ISDA financing arrangement.
Ms Eddymurthy is recognised as an expert in banking, capital markets, M&A and project finance by Who’s Who Legal, and as one of the top M&A lawyers in Indonesia by Chambers Asia-Pacific. She is regularly recognised by IFLR1000, The Legal 500 and Asia Law & Practice. Ms Eddymurthy was named Woman Lawyer of the Year at the 2017 Asian Legal Business Indonesia Law Awards.
Ms Eddymurthy graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 1984 and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law from 1990–1991.
