Hailing is a corporate lawyer with particular experience in the real estate and hospitality industry.
Since joining Clyde & Co's hospitality practice, Hailing has advised hotel owners, operators and businesses in the hospitality industry on a wide range of matters in the Asia-Pacific region, including asset/business acquisitions and divestments; hotel management agreements; franchising; timeshare programmes; branded residences structuring; and co-working arrangements. Hailing frequently deals with complex local and cross-border transactions, advising international hotel operators on their expansion into the South East and North Asian markets. Hailing leverages her strong execution capabilities and cross-border transactional experience to help clients with understanding local market entry and establishment requirements; customisation of transaction agreements for local use; pre-signing due diligence; negotiations; and deal execution. Hailing is also proficient in Chinese and has advised international hotel operators on their PRC ventures.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Hailing was at a top Singapore law firm where she worked with prominent Singapore-listed property companies, REITs and business trusts, and advised on REIT/business trust spin-offs and portfolio structuring; IPOs; secondary fund-raising; acquisitions; and legal and regulatory compliance. Her experience includes working on high-profile IPOs of hospitality trusts with hotel assets in multiple jurisdictions, and advising the sponsors on the divestment of their hotels into the trust structures. Hailing’s experience and background in the REIT sector has helped her develop a keen understanding of the real estate and hospitality industry.
Hailing is a Singapore-qualified lawyer. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree, and has completed the Cornell certificate programme in hotel real estate investments and asset management.
