Mr He is a senior partner of JT&N Shanghai. From the beginning of his practice, Mr He was highly recognised in the legal sector and was granted the title of the “best legal counsel” by Asian Legal Business (ALB) at the Shanghai summit forum of legal counsels in 2004.
Over the past 17 years, Mr He has focused on M&A, equity investment and reorganisation, capital markets, legal risk, control of investment and financing, and the BOT and BT of infrastructures for international and domestic clients.
Mr He has provided high-value, ad hoc legal services for top-50 real estate companies and top-30 property management companies, most of which are high-quality listed companies, large state-owned enterprises, and leading foreign-funded enterprises. He has advised on matters including due diligence, investment and financing, design of transaction structures, design of investment, financing and implementation plans, project negotiation, document drafting, corporate governance, and exit mechanisms of projects . Mr He provides legal services for dozens of M&A transactions totalling billions of dollars in real estate annually. Mr He also follows trends and developments in real estate to plan, and assist businesses with, market prospects. Mr He pays close attention to the dynamics of his clients and, working in combination with their business models, achieves close cooperation with them.
Mr He provides comprehensive legal solutions to resolve significant disputes, prevent commercial bribery, and defend clients against accusations of financial misconduct and criminal investment/M&A activity. Mr He is one of the few lawyers who has served as counsel in all types of securities crime, and has successfully handled some cases of major social influence cases.
Mr He is enthusiastic about public welfare activities. As the vice chairman of the Shanghai Volunteer Expert Group for Entrepreneurship Guidance (recognised as “the best volunteer service organisation in China”), Mr He provides more than 200 hours of volunteer service every year. He has been given the honorary title of “excellent entrepreneur guidance expert”.
Mr He is skilled at combining practical experience with academic research, and has achieved fruitful results. At present, Mr He is visiting professor at the Legal Practice Teaching Center of the Macau University of Science and Technology; and an expert for the government procurement evaluation of the Shanghai Municipality Finance Bureau. Mr He has published articles in Chinese Lawyers and Shanghai Lawyers. Mr He is the editor-in-chief of The Interpretation of the People’s Mediation Law.Mr He holds a Master of Laws degree and an executive MBA from China Europe International Business School.
