Garreth Wong is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration practice.
Garreth has over 17 years of experience representing companies, State-owned entities and States in business-critical, high value complex commercial and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the leading arbitration rules (including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL) governed by a wide variety of national laws.
Matters have included disputes arising from joint ventures, arbitrations related to the energy, oil & gas and mining sectors, construction and infrastructure arbitrations, disputes in the telecommunication and aviation sectors and investment treaty arbitrations, as well as litigation before English courts. He also acts as arbitrator.
His experience spans disputes in Africa, China and East Asia, Europe and Eastern Europe, Russia, and South Asia.
