As one of the first international trade lawyers in China, Mr Frank (Guoliang) Hang has represented hundreds of Chinese companies responding to anti-dumping and countervailing investigations initiated by the US, the EU, India, Australia, Canada, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, etc; and also represented over 100 foreign companies from the US, the EU, Japan, Korea, etc, that have responded to China’s anti-dumping and countervailing investigations over the past 17 years. These investigations involve a variety of industries, such as petrochemical, steel, tires, solar cells, electronic, paper, textiles, light and agricultural products. Mr Hang handles anti-dumping and countervailing investigations for local and international clients such as Vallourec, Sasol, BMW, Shagang Steel, Suntech and Hanwha. Mr Hang has formed long-term partnership with many firms specialising in international trade located all over the world. Mr Hang also represents Chinese and foreign companies in customs matters, such as export controls, certificate of origin, and customs classification.
Mr Hang is qualified with the Bar in both China and New York State (USA). He earned his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in law from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics in 1998 and 2002; and his LLM from Columbia Law School in 2008. He speaks Chinese and English fluently.
